Leo Rohlfing

    Dr. Leo E. Rohlfing was born January 3, 1927, near Gerald MO, the son of Albert and Rosalie Rohlfing.  He graduated from New Haven High School in 1945.  He served in the military from 1945 to 1947.  He attended the University of Missouri and graduated from veterinary school in 1953.  Dr. Rohlfing practiced with Dr. Richard Ramstein in Bourbon MO for two years, then left to set up his own veterinary practice in Hermann MO in 1955.  He operated this practice until 1990.

    After retiring, he expanded his feeder pig operation on Cole’s Creek Road outside of Hermann, which he operated until 1999.

    Dr. Rohlfing was a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association; the Missouri State Veterinary Association, East Central Veterinary Association; the Hermann V.F.W. and the American Legion and was affiliated with the United Methodist Church.

    Dr. Rohlfing married Ann Pratt in New Haven MO in 1952.  Together they had two children, one daughter and one son.
