Run free beautiful Shasta in that wondrous meadow by the Rainbow Bridge, your health, vitality, and joy restored. Play with Kizzie, Sampson, and Tika once more. Make new friends among all those who wait there. Always know that you were and are loved greatly by those you left behind.
Shasta cast a very large shadow and is greatly missed by Ted E, Lass, Skye and her human.

You entered my life and heart an adolescent rescue determined to be a lap dog despite an older, smaller, new housemate already in that role. Soon after arriving you opened the kibble bin to help yourself, the only one ever to do so.
Wherever you are, you’re busy schmoozing people, dispensing hugs and licks tirelessly. You’ve also helped
countless young readers these past five years as a TDI® Tail Waggin’ Tutor at the library.
When you began agility at age 7½, neither of us were spring chickens. You ignored my errors and
miscues, somehow knowing what I really intended.
Thank you, Shasta, for all the adventures we’ve shared and those still ahead.
I couldn’t have chosen a better companion for the journey.
