Dr. Borgmeyer was raised on a diary form near Taos, MO.  He met his wife Peggy in high school.  They have been married for 47 years.  Roger and Peggy have three children, Nathan, Nick and Nora.

Roger attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO earning a BS in Agriculture.  He graduated from UMC College of Veterinary Medicine in 1979.

Upon graduation, Dr. Borgmeyer and his wife opened a sole mixed animal practice in California, MO.  An associate was hired in 1982 and it has been a multiple veterinarian practice since then.

Dr. Borgmeyer is a member of the Annunciation Catholic church in California, MO.  He was on the parish council and served as a past president.  He also was on the building committee for a new church and served as chairman of that committee.

Dr. Borgmeyer is a member of the AVMA, MVMA, West Central District of the MVMA, the Bovine Practitioners and the Society for Theriogenology.

He is on the Missouri Stocker Feeder Quality Assurance Committee and has served as a former chairman of that committee.

Dr. Mark Oerly joined the practice in 1988.  Dr. Borgmeyer is currently retired and sold the practice to Dr. Oerly in January 2021.
