Catherine A. Hicks owns and currently practices at Hicks Animal Hospital in Poplar Bluff, MO. She became a veterinarian because it was the most interesting field she could find. Veterinary medicine combined everything she loved in a future career. She graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980. She first started practicing in Crystal City before purchasing her own practice in poplar bluff. She enjoys spending time with her husband John, a retired school admin, and their son Josh, his wife Leann, and grandson Jack. Dr. Hicks has been influenced by so many good veterinarians in her life, some she went to school with and some she met along the way. Dr. Joe Baker was one individual in particular who has had a huge part in her career and was present to introduce her at the honor roll induction.
