Dr. Cary’s parents moved he and his two sisters to Anderson MO in 1937.  He graduated from Anderson High School in 1943.  He then enrolled at the University of Missouri School of Agriculture, attending one year, then enlisting in  the U.S. Navy Seabees, serving two years.  Upon discharge, he re-enrolled at the School of Agriculture receiving his B.S. Degree in Agriculture.  He was then admitted to the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine, receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in June of 1952.  He went on to establish a large and small animal practice in Monroe City MO in July of 1952, serving that area until his death May 1, 1972.  His practice covered approximately 625 square miles.

Dr. Cary was a member of the Northeast Area Veterinary Medical Association; Missouri Veterinary Medical Association; American Veterinary Medical Association, and Lion’s Club.
