Dr. Dana Gillig is a 1998 graduate of the University of Missouri-College of Veterinary Medicine and owner/practitioner at Sedalia Veterinary Center, a rural mixed-animal practice in Sedalia, Mo. She handles large animal work for the practice (predominately cow/calf, dairy, equine, small ruminant, and exotics).

Dr. Gillig was the recipient of the MVMA Veterinarian of the Year Award in 2014. She is past president and past board chair of the MVMA, and is a member of the MVMA Emergency Management and Public Health Committee. In addition, Dr. Gillig is past-president of the West Central VMA district, and a member of the AVMA, AABP, Society of Theriogenology, and Academy of Rural Veterinarians.

She is actively involved in her church and plays accessory percussion on their Praise Team. She is a Veterinary Science 4-H Leader and a member of the Show-Me Stock Dog Association.
