Tori was a wonderful member of our family and will be missed more than words can express.  She came to us at 8 weeks old and everyone thought she looked like a stuffed animal because she was too cute to be real.  Tori was a "show dog," but she never really loved being in the ring so as soon as she finished her AKC Championship she was retired from the ring.  Tori was blessed with two litters of puppies during her lifetime.  I say blessed because she was the best mom I have ever seen and she loved those puppies with all her heart.  I think she was happiest when she had babies to care for.  One female from each litter stayed to live with her and us, and she took mothering very seriously.  She always kept a close watch over her girls and if one would get out of line she had a way of moving in and giving a stare that said, "Straighten up!"  She loved to instigate playtime with her girls and did so right up to the end.  Tori was extremely compassionate and knew, as many dogs do, if a family member was sick or hurting.  She would be the first to check you out when you came home from a doctor's appointment.  Then that awful day came when Tori became ill herself.  We are so grateful to our amazing and compassionate veterinarian, Dr. Mark Gutzmer, for his care and concern for our precious Tori and our entire family.  We will always miss her and are so grateful that she was part of our family.
