Elly's love for us was never-ending.  She met us at the door with a wagging tail as if she had not seen us in a year.  She retrieved the newspaper everyday.  She snuggled with my wife on the couch every morning.  She always waited for me on our bed until I got out of the bathroom to take her for a walk.  She was a damn fine hunter for quail and pheasant.  She loved to run.  If I didn't get my butt out of my easy chair she would throw her food dish at me. She is missed everyday, and she was God's gift to us.  She taught me probably more than I'll ever know.
