A long-time companion and dear friend. Coalie came into my Mama's life in September, 2000. Mom's neighbor walked to town and a little black kitten followed her home. Mom asked me if I would give him a bath and take him to the vet. She had already named him Coalie. Coalie became my little brother. Mama and her neighbors spoiled him rotten. He didn't care whose lap he sat on just so it was a lap. Mom passed away April 17, 2001. Coalie became my best friend and bedfeller. He was so vocal always talking. Anybody that came to see us came to hold him, or so he thought. Coalie was quite a cat. He loved to play ball, sit in the window and watch the birds and squirrels and sit on my lap. I lost Coalie February 21, 2012. I am so thankful for the almost 11 wonderful years we had together. I now realize that Mama knew I would need a friend when she was gone.
