"I found Hershey out in the country on Thanksgiving day in 1998. She was one of a litter of puppies that had been born at a friends house by a stray momma and she was adorable. I gave ""thanks"" everyday that we found each other. She was my little ""angel"" doggy and brought such joy to my life. A constant friend...comforting me through some hard times and a source of strength. She was obsessed with balls and could smell them in a bag or suitcase....one time unzipping a bag and pulling out her tennis ball. She loved to retrieve them in the water and was quite the swimmer. She was a puppy even at thirteen and had so much energy...loved to play. My mother passed away and had four dogs which Hershey welcomed into our home so graciously after being the only one for many years. She was such an amazing, smart and wonderful creature....she enriched my life and I am blessed to have shared thirteen years with her. I will miss her deeply and forever."
