In Memory of Spice 1997-2011 Spice came into our lives in 1997 as a gift from a friend in Lincoln, Nebraska. From that day on she took us over and we obeyed her as good parents do. She was a constant traveling companion to my husband Tom until his health no longer allowed him to travel. Then in 2003, our granddaughter Riley was adopted by Spice. Spice knew the sound of her name and when their car turned the corner to our street, Spice was waiting and barking at the door. Spice just tolerated me because she knew I brought in the treats. A few years back, Spice became ill with Addisons Disease. Dr. Sarah Bonstead of Carter Pet Hospital came into Spiceƒ??s life. She took care of her not only with her medical knowledge but she also loved Spice. I know in my heart without Dr. Bonstead we would not have had her as long as we did. We are grateful to her.
